WELCOME !!!

This is my first blog. Dedicated to you and to the Master of Horror, Edgard Allan Poe. You have different things to see and do. Come in and enjoy!
By the way, making comments counts as a class mark, doing any of the long assignments counts a full mark (like a regular writing assignment). You should do at least one long assignment and one short one. Comments count as short ones.

LEVEL FIVE

Hi! This blog was originally designed for my First Certificate course. So the activities in it are a bit difficult for you.  That is why my proposal is to continue using the videos but include new activities for you!

The topic of the unit is FEAR. Go to the dictionary link and review the meaning and the different forms of the word FEAR
 http://dictionary.cambridge.org/es/diccionario/ingles-espanol/fear

What other word do you know to talk about FEAR?
Check the following link to see the answer and to see the uses of the different words.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/grammar/learnit/learnitv335.shtml

Now complete the sentences with the differnt forms of the word. (There can be more than one correct answer)

1. Have no __________________, I will not hurt you.
2.  I can't go up there, I'm ____________________ of heights.
3.  These days, many people ________________ they will lose their jobs.
4. Look daddy, I'm not _________________
5. Are you ________________ of spiders?

What things are you afraid of?  Do you suffer fear of the dark? Fear of heights? Fear of closed places?  Or are you fearless and fear nothing?

Answer in the comments.
